Leadership
Bishop Joseph A. Manning
It was Sunday, February 12, 1984 when Mount Carmel Pentecostal Church was birthed in the Bronx, New York. Having no facility for worship, the Pastor, Rev. Joseph A. Manning utilized his humble home environment for the first fellowship service with only 20 persons in attendance.
The attendees were edified and uplifted, not to mention challenged by the long road ahead to progress.
First Lady Cynthia Manning
Under the guidance of the late Bishop and First Lady Cynthia Manning, our small congregation moved to the residence of the late Missionary Winifred George, one of the founding members. There, every member continued to be spiritually enhanced and stirred to action. The number of people had outgrown this residential occupancy and God so provided a facility located at 3395 White Plains Road, Bronx, New York. That Sunday of March 11, 1984, there were 53 persons in attendance.

Pastor Judith Esdaille
Pastor Judith Esdaille got her start in ministry as a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, choir director, and youth president. She is caretaker of not only the church family, but also of her biological family, wife to Elder Moulton Esdaille, and mother to her two children. She was ordained as an evangelist in 1989, as an Elder and Associate Pastor of Mount Carmel Pentecostal in 1997.
In 1999 the baton was passed on from her father, the late Bishop Joseph A. Manning to continue the vision and dream he had for the church that he'd pioneered in 1984. Pastor Esdaille has a passion for saving souls and would do anything within her power to lead them to the Lord.
She lives by this principle, work while it is day, as stated by Jesus in John 9:4 where he said "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day; the night cometh, when no man can work."
Elder Moulton Esdaille
Elder Moulton Esdaille is a Bible teacher and Church Administrator. It took many years to equip him for these tasks which he so humbly assumes. He was born the oldest among five kids to the late Rev. & Mrs. John Esdaille of Charlestown, Nevis, West Indies.
Elder Esdaille assisted his father in administrative duties and was elected as District Youth Vice President. He was active in organizing and conducting afternoon Sunday School sessions in one of the village's churches which his father pastored. He participated in two choral groups, namely Christian Ambassadors in Music & Song, and the Charlestown Wesleyan Holiness Carol Group. Secularly, Elder Esdaille matriculated from the St. Kitts-Nevis Teacher's College then taught at the Charlestown High School from 1976 to 1978. He migrated to the United States to pursue a Bachelor's Degree. It was there that he attended Houghton College in Houghton NY and later obtained certification as a Medical Technologist practicing his skills at one of New York City's leading hospitals.
This was quite a journey but the Lord God certainly directs our steps (Prov. 16: 9) and Elder has submitted gracefully to his divine will.
